The mission of the Commercial Facilities Operating Engineers of Texas is to become recognized as a profession responsible for the care of commercial buildings including all mechanical operations and maintenance, safety, security, comfort, IAQ, and providing a healthy building environment. The mission is to petition the Texas State Legislature to formally assign the Commercial Facilities Operations Engineers occupation to the State of Texas Occupations Code through legislation, to license the occupation and approve a training curriculum throught the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
